Admittedly, I purchased the Fairy Skin Sunscreen because of TikTok. I was interested to find out if it was simply hyped or genuinely amazing after seeing so many people vouch for it. Here is my assessment of how it performed for someone in her 30s with dry skin after using it for a month.
The pink oval tube that holds the Fairy Skin sunscreen has a dent on the cap. (When I first saw it, it made me think of another brand’s sunscreen; and you’ve probably seen it too.) I still like the standard tube packaging because it’s simpler to use and the cream product releases quickly. Albeit it’s not difficult to use, I also believe it will be challenging to squeeze the product out once I’m close to finishing the tube because it’s a little thicker than others.
The cream itself has a fluid consistency and is white in color. If you don’t move quickly while on the heat, it will slide off your fingertips.
I enjoy the normal sunscreen scents and don’t really have specific fragrance preferences. But this one, when I first used it, caught me by surprise. Although the smell wasn’t awful, it did strongly remind me of paste or glue. Albeit it wasn’t unpleasant and just a little strange, the smell isn’t as strong as it was the previous time.
Is the product considered a chemical sunscreen?
Yes, it is a chemical sunscreen that dissolves in oil. What does that entail, though? UV rays are absorbed by chemical sunscreen ingredients. These sunscreens products commonly contain one or more of the active chemicals octinoxate, octisalate, oxybenzone, and avobenzone.
How to apply?
Due to my dry skin, I prefer skincare products that are on the creamier side of texture. The Fairy Skin Sunscreen is enjoyable to use despite being runny. I layer two fingers’ worth of this on my face, and it absorbs quickly.
I’ve worn this multiple times both indoors and outdoors and haven’t experienced any issues. I’m elated to say that this is not one of those irritating sunscreens that causes eye pain when you perspire.
Last words
I had no problems using the Fairy Skin Sunscreen aside from the scent. It isn’t sticky, absorbs swiftly, and leaves the skin feeling moisturized. The best aspect is that it is reasonably priced. This can serve as an eye opener for people in terms of sun protection since so many people are still unconvinced by the anti-aging and brightening components of sunscreen.
